Mother's Wackiest Systems
🙃 Today, I will share with you my mom's wackiest and wildest systems for getting everything done.
A few facts about my mother, Suzie-Mary-Pieri-Ostertag:
She is the most productive person I have ever met.
She is an incredibly successful salesperson.
She is an absolute hurricane of chaos and energy.
👩🏻 "You need me to sign this? Put it on the floor of my office. NOT MY DESK! The floor..."
👩🏻 "Okay, to remind ourselves to watch the new episode of Game of Thrones tonight, I'll put this Bed Bath & Beyond coupon in the dash of my car. We'll wonder why it's there when we get in the car, and it will remind us about Game of Thrones!"
👩🏻 "Dev - while I'm driving, I need you to jot down some ideas I have. Here, use this teeny tiny notebook I got in a gift bag last night. Do you have a pen?"
👩🏻 "STOP TALKING - I have to do this thing right now while it's in my head."
👩🏻 "I don't have time to clean this mess up right now—just leave this paper towel on the floor, and it will remind me in a few minutes."
I take inspiration from my mother's successes and try to apply them to my own life when I can. HOWEVER....
MY MOTHER COULD NEVER HAVE A TEAM.
Her systems work for HER, and they live IN HER HEAD.
If she suddenly had employees helping her run her life, they would be pulling their hair out of their heads daily from stress and confusion.
